Samsung is currently working on its upcoming Galaxy Z foldable devices, which are said to make their first appearance on the market in the fall of this year. There is still a lot of time for them to be launched, but they have already started to join the talks. Rumors of the future Galaxy Z Fold 5 device were spread on the internet previously, and this time they again showed up on the internet, so let’s take a look at them.

Let us inform you the next-gen Galaxy Z foldable will adopt a new hinge technology, which will enhance its reliability. If you don’t know, the current foldable phone still lacks in terms of folding, as it leaves a gap between its two halves while folded and doesn’t fold perfectly flat. This gap may not be a severe issue, but it leaves a place for tiny particles/objects to enter.

To overcome this lack, Samsung has come up with a new and different kind of hinge, which was initially named ‘Dumbbell’ This new hinge type will be designed through a ‘droplet’ mechanism, which will let the device fold perfectly and leaves no gap between its two halves.

Galaxy Z Fold 5’s new hinge type reconfirmed

Recently, the leak star Ice Universe again shared on the Chinese platform Weibo that the next-gen Galaxy Z Fold device will get a new and more reliable hinge, which won’t let the device leave any space between both sides, while the device will be folded. Not only that, but the device will also be thinner than its predecessor device. Figurarly, the previous Z Fold 4 was 15.8mm thick, and the upcoming phone will be 13mm thicker.

Notably, it is also reported that the future Galaxy Z Fold 5 device will also feature a new non-Samsung Display made by the Chinese manufacturer BOE
