Galaxy Z Fold 2 and S21 FE received One UI 5.1 update in Canada

Samsung is pushing One UI 5.1 update to two more Galaxy devices, i.e., Galaxy S21 FE 5G and Galaxy Fold 2 5G. Earlier, the company served the same update to the Note 20 series devices. If Samsung updates its devices at the same pace, then it will surely complete the One UI 5.1 session within this month.

The latest update is now available for the Galaxy S21 FE 5G and Galaxy Fold 2 5G devices with version numbers G990WVLU4EWB3 and F916WVLU2JWB5, respectively. Let’s discuss the update according to the device.

Galaxy S21 FE 5G

Samsung introduced the FE variant of Galaxy S21 back in 2022, while the main series containing the Galaxy S21 base, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra came into the market a year before, i.e., 2019. As the Galaxy S21 FE was released after one year, it gained the advantage, it comes with Android 12, and the device got a new major update as One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 and now receiving the latest version update of One UI 5.1. As Samsung has officially announced that it will give four Android updates to Galaxy S21 FE devices, which means the device will get new Android updates up to Android 16.

Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G is the second generation of the Fold series; it was launched in 2020 and came with Android 10, later the device received three more major updates -One UI 3.0 (Android 11), One UI 4.0(Android12), One UI 5.0 (Android 13) sequentially. Now, Samsung has pushed one more major update, 5.1, which is also loaded with a lot of new features. Being a three-year-old smartphone that has received three major updates as well, now the device is no longer eligible for further Android updates. However, it will receive some minor updates in the form of security updates in the coming days.

One UI 5.1 update brings new features to stock apps

One UI 5.1 update is one of the important updates; it has come with several new features which are added under various system-level apps, including Camera, Gallery, AR Zone, and more; for starters, Samsung has made its new skin which is based on Android and similar features, plus company introduces some more new functionalities for its devices which are not present in the related Android.
