Verizon Galaxy Z Fold 3, Flip 3, and A71 getting April 2023 update in the US

Verizon has started releasing the April 2023 security update for three more Galaxy devices, including Galaxy Z Fold 3 5GGalaxy Z Flip 3 5G and Galaxy A71 5G. As the update gradually expands so it may take time to reach every device. On the other hand, the above-mentioned devices have already received the same update in several other countries.

The update is currently rolling out on the Verizon network( in the US) for the locked variant of these devices, and it is expected to be available on other networks in the coming days. To identify the latest update for Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G, Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G and Galaxy A71 5G, you can verify it by the different firmware version numbers F926USQU3FWD3, F711USQU4FWD3 and A716VSQS6GWD1 sequentially.

The April 2023 security update is part of the Android security maintenance program, which aims to strengthen the security of Android devices. It includes every possible fix of the issues which were reported at the time of previous updates. For information, a security update has always been released by Google and as it is provided as open source so the brands can also add more improvements according to the devices. Most of the time, Samsung also adds some extra functionalities, which makes it more valuable.

April 2023 security update may bring an Image Clipper feature for foldable devices 

Samsung has distributed the Image Clipper function for Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 in several regions, so it may be available for Verizon variant devices as well; however, as per the official changelog on the Verizon page, it doesn’t give any clue about the feature. It is also possible that it will push another update for the feature.
