Apple recently launched its brand new iPhone 16 lineup with the main focus being “Apple Intelligence,” but unfortunately it can’t beat Samsung’s currently latest Galaxy S24 Ultra in terms of battery life.
Samsung debuted its Galaxy S24 series earlier this year. On the comparison side, Apple introduced its latest iPhone 16 series; despite being a latest-generation lineup, it can’t beat up Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series.
Unfortunately, the iPhone 16 series features incremental improvements, with the key focus being “Apple Intelligence,” which is currently unavailable. The brand touted upgraded battery life across the lineup. Apple assured that the iPhone 16 Pro Max delivers four extra hours of video playback than its predecessor, with the base iPhone 16 offering two additional hours.
A tech YouTuber Arun Maini aka MrWhosetheboss, points out the real-world battery performance. According to him, the newly launched iPhones can’t stand strong against their predecessors and even their rivals; for instance, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The test mimicked real-life scenarios, cycling through popular apps like social media, YouTube, and Slack. The Galaxy S24 Ultra features a 5,000mAh battery, which outperformed other smartphones in a battery life test, as it long lasts 12 hours and 31 minutes under real-life usage conditions. Whereas, the iPhone 16 Pro Max ranked second with a respectable 11 hours and 22 minutes, a noticeable improvement over the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which breathes 9 hours and 35 minutes. This means that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra still stands on the strong side.
