Stable One UI 6 Watch Update Avaiable for Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic
Finally! Samsung has finally released the stable Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch version for the Galaxy Watch 6 series, following a lengthy 8-week beta testing period.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series has begun receiving the stable One UI 6 Watch in the US and South Korea, marking the end of the eight betas of the One UI 6 Watch.
Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic Getting Stable One UI 6 Watch Update
Samsung’s stable One UI 6 Watch for the Galaxy Watch 6 series, including the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic, has the BXJ5 firmware version, with an update size of 136 MB. It also integrates the October 2024 security patch. However, the changelog doesn’t mention any major additions or changes.
Meanwhile, the One UI Beta program for Galaxy watches has now ended; the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic owners have already received the final (8th) One UI 6 Watch beta version, and now other relevant versions will follow up sequentially. Although the stable version has not arrived with any major features or changes, it’s believed that the update marks several key enhancements in the overall functionality.
In addition, the update further allows Galaxy Watch owners to have a secure experience while also protecting the device from external harms. Currently, Samsung is rolling out the Wear OS 5-based stable One UI 6 Watch for the beta testers of the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic, while the company will follow by rolling it out to everyone shortly.
On the contrary, the newer One UI 6 Watch update is now live in the US and South Korea; thus, Galaxy Watch 6 owners can now install the latest stable build on their devices when available.
