Samsung is continuously rolling out the October 2024 security update to the Galaxy phones, while the majority of them have already received the update. Now, the company is expanding the security update to the Galaxy tablets, whereas the Galaxy Tab S9 series, Tab S8 series, and Tab S6 Lite are getting the update in Europe.
To begin with the Galaxy Tab S8 series in particular, the 5G units of Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra are getting the October security patch and have X706BXXS8CXJ7, X806BXXS8CXJ7, and X906BXXS8CXJ7 firmware versions, while the 5G and Wi-Fi variants of Galaxy Tab S6 Lite come with P620XXS4AXJI and P625XXS4AXJ1 version numbers.
Alternatively, the 5G units of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, S9+, and S9 Ultra carry the X716BXXS4BXJ7, X816BXXS4BXJ7, and X916BXXS4BXJ7 versions; however, the Wi-Fi units have already received the update.
