Samsung eying Galaxy XR Headset release to surpass Apple’s Vision Pro

Samsung is looking forward to making its debut in the XR market by introducing the Galaxy XR headset just to compete with Apple’s Vision Pro.

The Korean tech giant is now aiming to stand strong against Apple’s Vision Pro by launching the Galaxy XR headset. It’s expected that Samsung will prioritize comfort and ease of use for its forthcoming headset, which could feature adjustable support and efficient design.

The patent document suggests that the Galaxy XR headset could have advanced features, such as spatial efficiency and economic manufacturing. Reportedly, the company will also offer AI models and machine learning capabilities. The company, by developing a new XR headset, directly aims to stand strong and beat Apple’s Vision Pro in terms of comfort and personalization.

Samsung will offer a speaker system and display module that features holograms or a touch-sensitive interface and is also expected to introduce various efficient sensors, such as gesture, proximity, and biometric sensors, to its upcoming Galaxy XR to permit users to have an interactive and enhanced experience.

However, for now, the exact release date for the Galaxy XR headset is yet to be clear, but it’s expected that Samsung could launch it next year since currently it is busy eyeing the smart glasses release. It remains to be seen whether Samsung’s coming Galaxy XR will surpass Apple’s Vision Pro.
