One UI 8 (Android 16) could restart your Galaxy device if you don’t use it

Google is going smoothly with its next major Android OS iteration, the Android 16’s development, with three beta builds having already made their way to the Pixel devices. Well, as the work continues, Google might add a new feature in Android 16, aiming for security of the Android devices, while it’s possible that Samsung Galaxy phones also get it with One UI 8, of course.
Android 16 Could Introduce Auto-Restart for Idle Devices
According to the recent reports presented by Android Authority, a new string code has been discovered that eventually reveals that Google is reportedly working on an inactivity reboot feature for integrating more security within the Android ecosystem.
The strings listed a new term, AAPM, which expands as the Android Advanced Protection Mode, which is basically a security feature, namely, inactivity reboot that will automatically let the device restart if it’s locked for three days. This new functionality significantly aims to boost security for the entire Android ecosystem and to protect the device from external attacks.
On the other hand, the newly appeared inactivity reboot or automatic reboot feature has been discovered in the latest Android 16 OS, which is currently under development; Samsung Galaxy devices will get this functionality with the One UI 8 version, as it is anyways going to be based on Android 16.
Since this feature sounds more useful and helpful and will possibly allow smartphones to not fall into the vulnerable risks or attacks, Google will decide the actual name for this feature and when to provide it for the entire Android ecosystem.
