Galaxy Z Fold 7 to feature new battery & charging technology

Samsung is actively setting up to launch the next-generation foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is anticipated now to feature a new battery coupled with the latest charging technology.

A few days back, it was reported that Samsung is planning to introduce Silicon Carbon batteries in the Galaxy S26 smartphone, which will debut in early 2026. Although in recent days, a few leaks and reports suggest that Samsung is working on introducing the upgraded battery and charging technology.

Before the Galaxy S26 launch, Samsung is looking forward to debuting the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 at the Unpacked event in July 2025. Meanwhile, now a reliable tipster, Ice Universe, shared a long text post, claiming that Samsung will introduce a new battery and charging technology with the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

However, the company is expected to offer the same 4400mAh battery to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, but if the report comes true, then it will feature a new battery & charging technology. However, currently, there’s no official word regarding this report yet, so it remains to be seen whether Samsung will introduce new battery specifications as compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Recently, it’s also been reported that Samsung will offer the upgraded 4300mAh battery to the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Both devices will run Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box, and feature a slim and decent design then predecessors.
