Samsung to start Galaxy G Fold’s display panels mass production

Samsung is hinting at the near launch of its first tri-foldable phone, called the Galaxy G Fold, as it’s all set to begin mass production of triple-fold display panels next month.

Samsung is dedicated to developing its seventh-generation foldable phones, including Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, which will debut at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July 2025. Apart from these two foldable phones, the company is also working on the Galaxy Z Flip FE to debut later this year.

A few reports suggest that Samsung could debut the Galaxy G Fold by the end of this year or in early 2026, but it’s not officially clear. Meanwhile, a reliable tipster, Jukanlosreve, shared a post on X, revealing that Samsung is all set to begin mass production of triple-fold display panels next month, which hints at the near launch.

Apart from this, the tipster also claimed that the initial volume of the device is expected to be 200,000 to 300,000 units. However, there’s no official statement regarding this report yet, so it remains to see exactly what will happens next.

A few days back, it was reported that the Galaxy G Fold will record video at 8K 30 fps resolution, share 25W charging, spotted on the test server with One UI 7, could be available in selected markets, and could launch later at Galaxy Unpacked.
