Samsung is gearing up to launch its first-ever foldable phone, named Galaxy G Fold, by the end of this year, which is anticipated to have the same battery as the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The company is supposed to debut at least four latest foldable phones this year, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Galaxy Z Flip 7 at the Galaxy Unpacked event, the Galaxy Z Flip FE in the late Q3-Q4, and the Galaxy G Fold (tri-fold) by the end of this year.
Under the hood, Samsung is actively working on the upcoming Galaxy G Fold to launch soon, as it has already been spotted on the One UI 7 test server. It’s expected to be available initially in selected markets, including Korea and China, similar to what the company did with the Galaxy Z Fold SE/W25.
Meanwhile, a tipster, PandaFlash, on X, shared a text post claiming that the test-charging speed rating of the Galaxy G Fold phone is 23- 24W, which might be a marketing rating of 25W. This means that the coming tri-fold phone will have the same battery charging support as the Galaxy Z Fold 6, 25W.
However, Samsung has yet to reveal the official battery specification of the Galaxy G Fold, so it remains to be seen whether this report will come. It’s already reported that Samsung could launch the Galaxy G Fold after the Galaxy Unpacked event, which is supposed to be held in July 2025.
