Samsung is gearing up to debut its first-ever tri-fold (Galaxy G Fold) this year which is now anticipated to be available in limited regions.
These days the Korean tech brand is quite active in expanding its foldable lineup, currently it has a bunch of smartphones in the pipeline to debut this year, including Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip FE. Apart from these three devices, it is also anticipated to debut the Galaxy G Fold (Tri-Fold) phone by the end of this year.
Now a new report from GalaxyClub revealed that Samsung is developing two foldable phones with dedicated codenames and model numbers which are as follows –
- SM-F966 – codename Q7
- SM-F968 – codename Q7M
The SM-F966 stands for Galaxy Z Fold 7 whereas the second one SM-F968 is expected to be a ‘tri-fold’ phone with three panels and two hinges. However, it is not definitively proven but it’s strongly suspected that Q7M and SM-F968 are the same device.
Apart from these, there’s one more model number SM-F968N in the works that hints at a Korean version of the device, although, it could be made available in China similar to what Samsung did with the Galaxy Z Fold SE/W25. Previously, it was already reported that the Galaxy G Fold could be launched in selected markets and now the new report also suggests the same making the possibility higher.
