Samsung Released August 2022 Security Firmware For Galaxy S20 FE LTE Model

Samsung has begun sending the latest firmware for Galaxy S20 FE LTE versions. The update is a regular security level patch and comes with miner changes & fixes. It can be identified with firmware identifier no. G780FXXU9DVG5.

The Galaxy S20 FE LTE is getting the August 2022 Android security patch. The update is for security and privacy issues fixes but is not limited to it. It can also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.

According to Samsung’s and Google’s report, its August 2022 security patch fixes dozens of vulnerabilities related to user privacy and data security, such as Bluetooth connectivity, Samsung DeX, Samsung dialer, Desktop System UI, Wi-Fi service, and more.

This update is currently available in Russia and is expected to release in other regions. A few days ago, we covered an update for the Galaxy S20 series where only Galaxy S20 FE was left out, and now it also got updated; we will keep the users updated on this series.

Galaxy S20 FE was released in October 2020 and is expected to get updated in terms of the latest OS and UI per Samsung’s software distribution policy.

Users can also check for the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install or turning auto-updates or notifications on in your device’s settings.
