Samsung is currently rolling out the January 2023 security patch update for Galaxy devices. After updating many Galaxy devices, now the company is expanding the update to its foldable devices in different regions.

According to the information, January 2023 is currently rolling out in South American countries, for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 device. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is receiving the same update in Europe; as of now, users in the UK started getting the update, and as usual, it will be available for the other countries in the next few days.

Users who own these devices can identify the latest update by checking the firmware version number F926BXXS2DWA3 and F936BXXS1BWA2 for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 3, respectively.

The January 2023 security patch update has several fixes, which Google and Samsung include. In detail, there are 52 patches added by Google which are marked as High priority. Along with these, Samsung has also included 20 other patches which are specially designed for its Galaxy devices.

Moreover, you should install the latest update to make sure your device is ready to fight against the external threats that may cause your privacy breach. To install the latest update, you can follow these steps:

  • Go to the device settings
  • Then click on the software updates button
  • Now tap on download and install 
  • wait until the search is finished,
  • If it shows the security update is available, tap on the install button, 
  • It will start downloading and get installed automatically.
