One UI 6.0: Now you can turn on/off swipe to switch camera

Samsung has introduced many new features and enhancements for the Galaxy devices with One UI 6. The company has provided a changelog where it has mentioned the new changes made to the devices; however, it hasn’t revealed the full picture of the new changes. Let’s talk about one of them, the new camera option.

One UI 6.0 allows you to enable or disable swipe to switch camera feature

When you open your camera, you have the option to switch the camera from back to front or vice versa. You can do it by a simple swipe up or swipe down gesture; however, sometimes it annoys you when you want to zoom in or zoom out in the camera and by mistake you can’t do it properly, then it reads it as a camera switch command. So to get rid of this problem, Samsung has introduced a new option to turn the functionality off.

Other than this, Samsung has also introduced a new camera widget, which offers you a shortcut to open the camera in the desired mode. For example, if you preset the app with the rear camera and in portrait mode, it will open in the same mode.

No More One UI Update Support For These Samsung Galaxy Smartphones

These features come with the latest OneUI 6.0. So if you have an eligible device, you will soon get the experience in the coming days. As of now, Samsung is running the beta program for Galaxy S23 smartphones, and it is expected that the beta update will soon be available for more smartphones.
