Samsung is about to introduce its first-ever tri-fold smartphone this year, which gets its name as Galaxy G Fold due to its unique form factor; a recent report suggests that it has just appeared on BIS certification database, hinting at its imminent launch.
The Galaxy G Fold’s launch will probably not happen during the second Galaxy Unpacked event alongside Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, and is tipped to share its 25W charging with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 model; Samsung’s upcoming tri-fold has allegedly made its appearance on India’s BIS certification database.
Substantially, the BIS database reportedly showcases three battery models of the Galaxy G Fold with model numbers: EB-BF965ABE, EB-BF968ABE and EB-BF969ABE.
Since Samsung’s Galaxy G Fold is rumoured to debut in some select markets, with South Korea being the one; now, with the recent spotting, it seems like the tri-fold is going to make its availability in India as well. However, the global availability is still doubtful.
With that said, Samsung’s first-ever tri-fold appears to be facing challenges with its rival Mate XT, the Huawei’s triple foldable smartphone in various terms, including display. At the same time, indeed Samsung will infuse a very unique folding form factor with advanced folding angles. However, it’s reported that the G Fold will weigh as same as the Huawei Mate XT.
