Samsung’s Tri-Foldable Future at Stake as Huawei is already in the game

Samsung is one of the leading brands in the foldable industry. Now to maintain its legacy, it should look forward to tri-fold phones since its rival brand Huawei already debuted the world’s first tri-fold phone, the Mate XT Ultimate Design.
Samsung Display already showcased its interest in tri-fold phones by teasing the phone prototypes on several occasions. However, the company can’t neglect the fact that turning the prototype into a consumer product itself is a countable milestone.
Finally, it is time for Samsung to aggressively look forward to bringing innovation to its foldable series. Currently, the company is working on debuting a new foldable special edition, named Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.
Huawei’s newly launched dual hinge and tiple screens foldable, the Mate XT Ultimate Design, can turn into a full-size tablet. It smoothly becomes as portable as a regular bar-type smartphone, offering ease of handling alongside a PC-like display offering.
Transparently, Samsung is a strong contender in the foldable market but is still struggling to overcome customer satisfaction. Now instead of expanding its single-foldable series, Samsung should take steps toward tri-foldable phones.
However, tri-foldable is not the only innovation; Samsung is still struggling to bring a thinner foldable device as compared to those from Chinese manufacturers. It will be interesting to see how the Korean tech giant will handle its struggling phase.
