Published

on

Google and Samsung are coming together as their partnership goes beyond Android. On one side, Pixel smartphone devices use Samsung-manufactured Tensor chips; on the other hand, Smsung’s flagship Galaxy smartphones have AI features, like Circle to Search, noticeably before even the Pixel 8 series got this novelty.

In the report it is being unveiled, Rick Osteroh,  SVP of platforms and devices at Google, stated that the brand’s “partnership has never been stronger.” A post on X shared by @rosterloh pointed to a positive meeting between TM Roh and @SamsungMobile leadership. It highlights a strong partnership between both and excitement about future collaborations, particularly in the area of AI.

Following the statement, he also attached a selfie with TM Roh, president and head of MX Business at Samsung Electronics.

Then, @SamsungMobile reposted Osterloh’s post and teased that both brands are actively working on expanding the functionalities of AI features for Android and Galaxy devices to enhance Galaxy experiences.

Google has already announced at the last Galaxy Unpacked event, back in January in San Jose, that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will use Gemini AI models to power the forthcoming AI capabilities in the applications and services built by the Korean giant. The brand also brought new functionalities for Google Messages and Android Auto, powered by Gemini Nano

For enhancing the summarizing facility, Samsung’s Smarter Notes, Voice Recorder, and Keyboard applications use the AI model Gemini Pro, whereas the Galaxy S24 series smartphones use Imagen 2 text-to-image technology to offer “Generative Edit” features in the Gallery application for upgrading photo editing.

Samsung’s Circle to Search and Google Lens utilize the same algorithm to search any object or text image on the web. Circle to Search introduces a new feature that allows users to search displayed content by simply circling the object. Now, to bring some of the same experience to iPhone users, there is a new shortcut for Google Lens.

For a long time, Google Lens has been available for iOS under the Google search application, and now it is usable as a circle to search. The Google app now provides a shortcut to send screenshots directly to Google Lens for analysis. The Action Button on the iPhone 15 Pro will easily activate it.

Here you can access Circle to Search on iPhones

Meanwhile, the ease of access can also be replicated on all other iPhones with the backtacle gesture functionality. To set it up, follow these simple steps: On your iPhone, open the system settings then tp on the accessibility option and then select touch, now scroll down and select back tap, here you can choose any option either Double Tap or Triple Tap, then go to the scroll down to the shortcuts area,, then choose a shortcut, tap back tap to apply the setting.

Now, according to your settings for the back tap option, when you double-tap or triple-tap on your phone, it will take a screenshot of the current display and send it to Google Lens. Which experiences the same circle to search as all the results according to the image will appear on the screen. When you do it the first time, it will ask you to share an image, then select “Always Allow,” and you will get a more seamless process.

Apple’s Nano-Texture Anti-reflective Coating Challenges Samsung’s S24 Ultra Display

Apple introduced its new 2024 iPad Pro at its “Let Loose” event on May 7. The brand has attached a nano-texture glass for the first time to a touch-based device, and the new 2024 iPad Pro is the first to get this.

The latest iPad Pro arrives with Apple’s anti-reflective display technology, pointing at a chance to debut with the iPhone 17 Pro Max by the end of this year. Samsung partnered with Corning to debut an anti-reflective display with the Galaxy S24 Ultra

Samsung engaged with Corning to debut an anti-reflective display with the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The advanced display glass technology makes the Galaxy S24 Ultra stand out from the crowd of its rivals; an anti-glare screen is the key reason behind this.

Earlier, Apple used nano-texture glass on the Pro Display XDR, iMac, and Studio Display. The debut of the iPad Pro somewhere points out the possibility that it could be expanded further to iPhone models this year.

The giant keeps the users in mind who work in high-end, color-managed workflows or challenging lighting conditions while developing it. This preserves image quality and contrasts side-by-side diffusion of ambient light for decreased glare. It is being reported by a colleague that Apple consumers are ready to purchase an iPad Pro with an anti-reflective screen and only available in the 1TB and 2TB storage options for an additional cost of $100, bringing the 11-inch model’s price to $1,699 or $2,099.

Samsung Mocks Apple Over iPhone Alarm Problems

Published

Samsung rocks, Apple shocks! Samsung pokes fun at Apple following reports that iPhone alarms are creating a mess due to a potentially faulty iOS setting.

Samsung and Apple are two constant rivals in the tech industry, and they never miss the chance to poke at each other. This time, it’s Samsung’s turn, since it pokes fun at Apple for a minor fault. The reports reveal that some iPhone alarms are not working seamlessly due to a potentially faulty iOS setting.

Making it a golden chance without wasting time, Samsung UK magnifies the reliability of alarms on the best Samsung phones. The brand uploaded a meme-based Instagram post, “Rest assured, our alarms go off,” with the caption “Samsung users woke up on time today.”

Although Samsung didn’t tag Apple directly in the post, it’s quite easy to understand by just reading the good-natured humor between the lines. The report reveals that Apple has acknowledged a problem that prevents some iPhone alarms from sounding as expected, and the brand is actively developing a solution. However, it seems that the issue stems from the Attention Aware setting, a feature that debuted in iOS 17.

Noticeably, Apple itself has acknowledged the issue, pointing out that a software patch is nonetheless on the way.
