Jay Y. Lee Is Now The New Executive Chairman Of Samsung Electronics

The South Korean Giant got ‘Jay Y. Lee’ as its newly appointed Executive Chairman. The company’s Board of Directors has approved him for the position today. His name for the position was recommended by Independent Director and Board Chairman Han-Jo Kim.

Samsung Electronics is a South Korean multinational manufacturer. The company was founded by Lee Byung-Chul in 1938 as a trading limited that entered the electronics industry in the late 1960s. Its headquarter is located in Samsung Town, Seoul, South Korea. It is the 8th highest global brand value as of the year 2020.

Currently, Samsung is in the limelight for its new User Interface, ‘One UI 5’, and a newly introduced device, ‘Galaxy S23’. Besides mobile phones, the South Korean Giant also has a strong hold on hardware manufacturing. It also provides microprocessors, memory chips, LCD and LED Displays, and RAM to other manufacturers.
