Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 Patent Hints at Improved S-Pen Support
Samsung launched the first generation of leaflets this year, which was a quite earlier release, and it seems the firm has greatly benefited from the sales of the foldables. The stylish feature, S-Pen, was expected to be included in the Galaxy Z Fold 5, but Samsung somehow stepped back. This may be related to the prioritization given to battery life. However, the long-awaited S-Pen may be included in the next foldable from Samsung, the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The S-Pen can be kept only on the older Z smartphones with the use of an external case, which has disappointed the fans of the Galaxy Z Fold series. But this time Samsung may fulfill the most requested wish of the foldable fans.
According to a number of recent patent applications, Samsung may include a S-Pen slot on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Specifically, this useful add-on might be mounted on the back of the device, using a method similar to the one that was employed on the newly manufactured Galaxy Tab S, or on the side, as demonstrated by the pictures featured in the Studimo gallery. However, the patent is just a spectative that the firm will come out with S Pen functionality for the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Over the coming weeks, preliminary information about this may come out, which will provide a better understanding of the situation.
The idea of the secondary design of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 shared by the Studimo gallery is that the screen is asymmetrical and wider at the top, which might accommodate the S Pen without sacrificing the elegant design of the device. While providing a specific area for the stylus, the design attempts to maintain the ease of using wireless charging. It is also stated that there will be many buttons on the pen to provide users with additional interaction possibilities. The sixth generation of foldables is expected to debut during the summer of 2024, and it is expected to receive the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor as the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU.
