The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) owns and produces the largest tech event in the world, CES 2024, in Las Vegas next week, where Samsung will reveal new Odyssey OLED gaming displays. The OLED Glare-Free technology in all three of the new models reduces light reflections for a better viewing experience without the need for additional hardware, allowing users to play games in almost any lighting condition with constant brightness and color.

The Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SD model), Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD model), and Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD model) are three new OLED models that perform and have the visual clarity that gamers demand from their displays.

Odyssey OLED G9:

  • A 49-inch curved ultra-wide gaming monitor
  • With an aspect ratio of 32:9,
  • DQHD
  • Resolution of around 5,120 x 1,440
  • GTG reaction time is 0.03 ms.
  • Refresh rate of 240 Hz

Odyssey OLED G8:

  • The first ever 32-inch flat Samsung OLED gaming monitor
  • It comes with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
  • 4K UHD
  • Resolution of around 3,840 x 2,160
  • GTG reaction time is 0.03 ms.
  • Refresh rate of 240 Hz

Odyssey OLED G6:

  • 27-inch display screen
  • QHD
  • Resolution of around 2,560 x 1,440
  • It comes with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
  • GTG reaction time is 0.03 ms.
  • Refresh rate of 360 Hz

The Odyssey OLED G9 and Odyssey OLED G8 also include the Samsung SmartThings Hub. Users may connect to a variety of IoT devices that are compatible with matter and the Home Connectivity Alliance (HCA) using the built-in hub to control gadgets. The Odyssey OLED G9 and G8 displays are one-stop entertainment centers when transforming from work to play. They provide streaming and cloud gaming services without the need for a PC or console, downloads, or storage restrictions; all credit goes to the Samsung Smart TV platform and Samsung Gaming Hub.

Which special features will be included?

  • Regardless of the game or material being shown, the monitors’ VESA DisplayHDRTM True Black 400 technology produces incredibly detailed and vibrant colors.
  • Also, for very smooth, low-latency HDR gaming, they feature AMD FreeSyncTM Premium Pro.
  • With a USB hub, two HDMI 2.1 connections, and a DisplayPort 1.4 input, the three new displays provide extensive physical connectivity.
  • VESA mount compatibility and a height-adjustable stand (HAS) with tilt, swivel, and pivot control points will improve user comfort and convenience.
  • Multi Control is a new feature available on the Odyssey OLED G9 and Odyssey OLED G8, which offers seamless device connectivity for a better and easier multi-device experience.
  • To fit inside their thin bezels, the new models use innovative Core Lighting+ and feature the distinctive, slender metal appearance of the Odyssey OLED family.
  • Through the back of the display, Core Lighting+ emits ambient light to fully immerse users in the settings of their games and entertainment.
  • It also blends in perfectly with the thin 3.9 mm metal bezel; this is because of the lighting circle, which is four times thinner than the one on the G95SC model.
  • A new thin metal support is also added that uses a 3nm metal plate to assemble without the need for tools.

The release of these models has helped Samsung maintain its top spot in the gaming monitor industry and expanded its OLED portfolio.

Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, says,Along with game genres, gaming platforms are getting more diverse. Samsung’s new OLED Odyssey gaming monitors will empower gamers with more immersive game environments and innovative technology that personalize their gaming experiences, meeting and exceeding their evolving needs.”

Samsung Prioritizes Faster Charging in 2024 Smartphones

The first quarter of 2024 is already over; during this interval, Samsung has introduced several Galaxy smartphones of particular belonging, such as the flagship Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35, the mid-range ones, the Galaxy A15 and Galaxy F15, the budgetable ones, and many more. But the fact is, after being the latest smartphones, they have a lack of ‘charging speed.’

Undoubtedly, Samsung is leading the tech industry with its top-notch features, design, and larger batteries, as compared to other Android manufacturers, but despite all this, it has a massive lack of charging speed. Samsung usually attaches larger batteries to its Galaxy smartphones to enhance the users’ non-stop-using experience. But a larger battery isn’t worth it unless it has a good charging speed.

On the other hand, Chinese manufacturers are equipping their smartphones with charging speeds north of 100W, whereas 45W is the maximum speed you can get on Galaxy smartphones. However, even 45W charging is quite rare among Galaxy phones. Samsung has launched most of the Galaxy devices in the last couple of years, including the flagship with support for 25W.

Here we are making things easy for you if you are looking to buy a Galaxy smartphone that debuted in 2024 with the support of 45W charging speed by mentioning a list of devices:

The list is quite short, even considering that the Galaxy F55, M55, and C55 are just rebranded variants of the same smartphone for different regions. Now Samsung is setting up to launch its next-generation foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, in July, but it is yet to be confirmed whether these devices will get a boost in charging speeds from 25W or not.
