Galaxy Buds 3 Series May Feature Pinch Sensors Over Touch Controls

Samsung, at its next Galaxy Unpacked event, which is highly supposed to be held on July 10, introduces the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. The next-generation Galaxy Buds 3 series is expected to have pinch sensors.

Even before any official announcement regarding the upcoming Galaxy Buds 3 series, leaks and rumors have been blowing in the market for so long. Now the new leaks are unveiling that the brand could attach pinch sensors on the Galaxy Buds 3 series and how the supported gestures could work.

The report found a reference to the Galaxy Buds 3 series in the Samsung Members app with the version number v5.0.00.11. The leaked images reveal that the earbuds will have pinch sensors. However, at the moment, it is not confirmed yet how the pinch gestures will exactly work. Based on other earbuds, such as AirPods, it can be speculated that pinching the sensor might control music playback.

Since it’s not officially clear how the pinch sensor controls will work, it is expected that a double-press or tap should skip to the next track, while a triple-press will likely take you to the previous track, and long-pressing will allow you to switch between ANC and transparency modes. The Korean giant will possibly offer similar functionality on its upcoming earbuds as well.

While the report also says the brand will house the red or blue light at the bottom of the stem of earbuds and could title it Blade Lights, The lights could flash while the earbuds are low on battery power or during an incoming call. In comparison to the recent Galaxy Buds’s touch controls, the pinch controls seem pretty easy and convenient to use. The launch event is not yet, but it will be interesting to see what new novelties, specs, and designs the upcoming buds will bring.
