on

A new Fan Edition, or FE variant, is in the budding stage. Samsung is looking forward to bringing a new FE variant called the Galaxy S24 FE by the end of this year. The brand is planning to offer new color options for the upcoming FE variant.

It’s pretty early to discuss the details of the Galaxy S24 FE since it has yet to come into official existence. The leaks and rumors have already started circulating regarding this upcoming phone. The latest report suggests the color options that Samsung could offer for the Galaxy S24 FE.

Black never goes out of style; it seems Samsung took it seriously since this time it is offering black color for the Galaxy S24 FE variant. Apart from the black option, the brand will offer more color options. The color options for the device are being speculated on by a tipster on X named DSCC’s Ross Yong.

It is reported that Samsung could offer five color options for the Galaxy S24 FE, including black, which are as follows:

  • Black, Gray, Light Blue, Light Green, and Yellow

However, a couple of weeks ago, the report already showcased a glimpse of the light green color in the leaked Galaxy S24 FE renders. It is also reported that the phone will feature slimmer bezels than its predecessor, in addition to a larger display, which is expected to measure 6.65- inches.

The Galaxy S24 FE could be powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset, the same as the actual Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ models. It will feature 12GB of RAM and run Android 14 out of the box, and the camera setup includes a 50-MP primary, a 12MP ultra-wide, and an 8MP or maybe 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

Samsung has scheduled the Galaxy S25 series for early 2025. It’s quite early, but the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 series is already a hot topic in the market. It was reported that Samsung could ditch the Galaxy S25+ from the series, but that’s not the case anymore.

Samsung includes three members in each Galaxy S-series family, including base, plus, and ultra. But recently, it was reported by Android Headlines, that Samsung is looking forward to dropping the plus variant ‘Galaxy S25+’ from the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. The reason behind this step was pointed out: the less sold.

A new report (Galaxy Club) says that the upcoming Galaxy S25 series will include, as usual, three variants: the Galaxy S25, the Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. If the new reports are to be believed, these are internally referred to by the code names F1, F2, and F3, among others, whereas the model names attached to them are S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra sequentially.

Apart from this, all three model numbers are also spotted: SM-S931, SM-S936, and SM-S938, which is the ritual scheme the Korean giant follows. On the other side, the camera specs of the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25+ are also revealed by the same source, according to which the company will use a 50MP primary rear camera sensor.

Apart from this, no more specific details have come into existence. The previous reports already suggested that Samsung could power the entire Galaxy S25 series with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, whereas a few rumors point out that it could be powered by the Exynos 2500 or MediaTek. It will be interesting to see what specs and features the Galaxy S25 will bring to enhance the user experience.

Samsung May Drop ‘Plus’ Variant from Galaxy S25 Lineup

Samsung has already started gearing up for its upcoming flagship series, the Galaxy S25 series, which will debut in early 2025. Potentially, the brand could ditch the plus variant ‘Galaxy S25+’ from the series.

This means that the forthcoming premium smartphone series, the Galaxy S25, could only bring two variant models, including the base and ultra-named Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Android Headlines reported that the Korean giant radically changed the Galaxy S25 series by offering only two models.

Usually, Samsung offers three variants in the Galaxy S-series, including base, plus, and ultra, but that’s not the case for the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. The report says that the Galaxy S25 series is now surfacing with the model number.

The Galaxy S25 has the model number SM-S931B/DS, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra appears under the SM-S938B, SM-S938U, SM-S938N, and SM-S9380 model numbers.

The last letter of each model number indicates the particular region; for instance, ‘B’ stands for global, ‘U’ suggests the USA, and ‘N’ indicates South Korea. The reason behind this change appears to be the minimum sales of plus models.

Following the sales metrics of the Galaxy S series’ plus model as compared to the ultra and base, it hasn’t sold well.

The previous reports already reported that the base variant of the of the Galaxy S25 won’t feature a major camera upgrade. The Galaxy S25 camera setup is expected to include a 50MP main camera and a 12MP selfie camera.

Whereas the Galaxy S25 Ultra camera arrangement could count a 200 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide angle camera, a 50 MP 3x telephoto camera, and a 50 MP 5x telephoto camera.

The brand could be powered by the by the Galaxy S25 series with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, an Exynos 2500, and potentially a MediaTek chipset. The battery model numbers EB-BS938ABE and EB-BS938ABY have already been spotted, which could possibly feature a 5000mAh battery capacity.

Galaxy Z Flip 6 key specification revealed ahead of launch

Published

on

Samsung has already confirmed to host the Galaxy Unpacked Event on July 10 in Paris. The major and noteworthy part of the event will be the debut of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Right before the official launch, the new report suggests three major upgrades to the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is a successor to the Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the new leaks pointed out that both phones look similar. The notable changes and improvements will be internal. A reliable tipster on X shared a post suggesting the key specifications of the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6. Let’s take a closer look at the specifications.

According to new leaks, the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 will feature a 6.7-inch display; it is quite possible that the panel could be Dynamic AMOLED 2x, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and Full HD+ resolution. The brand could power it with aSnapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The memory package could include 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. That is a notable upgrade as compared to the 8GB of RAM that was used in the Galaxy ZZ Flip 5.

The camera setup will include a 50MP primary rear camera with an F1.8 aperture and a 12MP ultrawide camera with an F2.2 aperture. On the flip side, a 10 MP selfie camera could be housed with an F2.2 aperture. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 reportedly measures 165 x 71.7 x 7.4 mm.

The tipster also suggests that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be powered by a 4,000mAh battery with the support of 35W fast charging. However, most likely, the giant could offer 25W fast charging. The new chipset of the device will give a new boost in processing power, which will be helpful in gaming and AI tasks. Its higher RAM might be necessary for more advanced Galaxy AI features.

It will run the Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 software version with the new AI-powered tools out of the box. This time, seven years of Android OS and security updates are expected. It is also expected that it might also have an IPX8 rating, a stereo speaker, Samsung Pay, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

However, since Samsung has not yet announced the official specs, it will be interesting to see whether these leaked specs will come into existence.
