Samsung begins its in-house Exynos 2500 chip’s Mass Production 

Samsung Electronics is expanding its in-house chipsets lineup by adding a next-generation Exynos 2500 chip and beginning mass production. 

A couple of weeks ago it was reported that Samsung is speeding up Exynos 2500 development for the H2 2025 release. The company has already ditched its in-house Exynos 2500 to power its newly launched Galaxy S25 series over Snapdragon 8 Elite, but now it could use the chip for the upcoming flagship devices, including Galaxy Z Flip 7. 

A  reliable tipster, Jukanlosreve, on X, shared a text post, claiming that Samsung Electronics has started mass production of the Exynos 2500 chip. The tipster also mentioned that the company is planning approximately 5,000 units per month for the initial production volume. The yield of the Exynos 2500 is said to be somewhat low expected to be below 50%.

Reportedly, the Korean giant is expected to use the Exynos 2500 chipset for powering the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip foldable phones. However, there’s no official report, that the company will use the chipset to power which Galaxy device first. At the last, he also mentioned that that the yield of the Exynos 2600 is 30%.  

Previously, it was reported that Samsung may debut Exynos 2500 chipset with the Galaxy Z Flip 7. It’s expected that the chipset could feature one ARM Cortex-X925 core @3.3GHz, two ARM Cortex-A725 CPU cores @2.75GHz, five Cortex-A725 cores @2.36GHz, two Cortex-A520 cores @1.8GHz, 16MB of L3 cache, a 1.3GHz Samsung Xclipse 950 GPU with AMD RDNA3.5 architecture, and an NPU with 56 TOPs.
