Earlier last month, Samsung announced the expansion of the One UI 7 beta update for older Galaxy devices, including Galaxy A55, from March 6; however, it’s yet to receive.
Initially, Samsung started the Android 15-based One UI 7 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series in December 2024 and up to date, has rolled out six beta updates for the devices. Meanwhile, last month, the company officially announced that it will expand the beta program for its selected older Galaxy smartphones from March 6, which are as follows –
- Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Tab S10+, Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, and Galaxy A55
As per the announcement, it has expanded the beta program to all of these devices, except the Galaxy A55 smartphone. This shows that Samsung failed to keep its promise for the Galaxy A55 to release the One UI 7 beta update.
Meanwhile, Samsung also revealed the official timeline for the stable One UI 7 release, according to which it will start rolling out the updates from April 7 globally.
Since we are already in April and just a week away from the stable release at the time of writing, this hints that Samsung could skip expanding the beta updates for the Galaxy A55. However, there’s no official statement, so it remains to be seen exactly what will happen next.
