One UI 8 Smoothes AOD to Lock Screen Animations

Samsung is paving its way for the development of the next major OS, One UI 8 which is supposed to run Android 16, out of the box. Well, a lot of rumours have already been circulating regarding the upcoming software; a fresh leak signifies that it’s going to bring new AOD and lock screen animations.
According to the recent leak shared by the X user, Tarun Vats, a new animation for AOD and lock screen, providing a more efficient and enhanced user experience for users.
Basically, the leaker shared a short video that showcased that when tapping once on the phone’s screen, it was noticed that the AOD opens up and shows the animations, while tapping the screen twice brings the lock screen into action. Also, the key highlight is that the animations of the lock screen are now more enhanced and impressive at the same time.
More specifically, the latest lock screen animations stretch the clock downwards, providing it a more interactive look when tapped twice on the screen.
Beyond this, till now, One UI 8 is rumoured to bring new notification animations and refreshed security settings UI, adds up a voice in Now Brief, bigger cover display for Galaxy Z Flip 7 model, and new camera effects on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Well, the latest build is currently in its early stages of developments, the beta version will probably add these features.
