Samsung to distribute Exynos and Snapdragon for S26 based on different regions

Samsung is setting up to launch its Galaxy S26 series next year, which is anticipated to be powered by Exynos and Snapdragon chipsets based on different regions. Let’s take a closer in which regions the company will use its in-house chipset.

Initially, it was reported that the entire Galaxy S26 series will be based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset; however, later, a few rumors also suggest that the company could go for its in-house chipset. A new report from Newspim revealed that in which market Samsung will launch the Galaxy S26 series, powered by Exynos 2600 and Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.

According to the report, the base (Galaxy S26) and plus (Galaxy S26+) models would use the Exynos 2600 chipset in most of the market except North America and a few specific Asian countries.

Reportedly, the Galaxy S26 series will exclusively use the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset in selected regions, including North America, China, Japan, and South Korea. Whereas the Ultra variant, Galaxy S26 Ultra, will be powered by the Snapdragon chip unconcern of the countries.

Let’s take a closer look at the breakdown of Exynos 2600 and Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 based on different regions to power Galaxy S26 & Galaxy S26+, or maybe Edge.

  • Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 – North America, including the US, China, Japan, and South Korea.
  • Exynos 2600 – Global market, including Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

However, there’s no official confirmation regarding this report, so it remains to be seen whether Samsung will use the leaked strategy to power the Galaxy S26 series with two different chipsets.
