Samsung enhanced Clock app’s alarm group by adding two new options

Samsung offered several improvements, tweaks, and features, including two new options for the Clock app’s ‘alarm group’ with the One UI 8 beta update.

Earlier this week, Samsung rolled out Android 16-based One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25 users in the selected regions, including the US, UK, Germany, and Korea, and will soon be available in India and Poland.

With the latest beta update, Samsung has added two new options under the alarm group, including Add new alarm and Add existing alarm. Currently, in the One UI 7 version, while opening the alarm group and tapping the plus sign to add another alarm to the group, you only see one option to add a new alarm.

Now, with the One UI 8 update, you can create a new alarm in the group and also add an existing alarm to the group. This new integration will make the app more useful and convenient for users. Apart from these two options, One UI 8 also allows you to add a widget for an alarm group as well, and you can just click on the widget to set all the alarms in a group on or off.

It’s been four days since the One UI 8 beta update went live, and Samsung has already started internal testing for the One UI 8 beta 2. The company is anticipated to extend the update to its tablet family, as recently the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra was spotted running Android 16-based One UI 8 build on Geekbench.
