Samsung pushes Second May 2025 security update for the Galaxy S25 series

Samsung’s May 2025 security patch already hit the Galaxy S25 series a couple of weeks ago; meanwhile, surprisingly, the company is pushing a second May update for the S25 family.
While the Galaxy S25 owners have been testing the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 beta in some selective regions; Samsung has just started rolling out the second May 2025 security update for the Galaxy S25 models, beginning with European countries like Germany and could expand to more regions in the future.
Well, the latest firmware for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra is identified with the build numbers, S931BXXU3AYE7, S936BXXU3AYE7 and S938BXXU3AYE7, respectively.

However, the second update is just a minor security patch level, but looking towards its update size which is of almost 1.2GB, it appears like Samsung has integrated a massive fix for the issue that’s probably preventing users from using the device seamlessly. At the same time, as usual, the security update significantly focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality.
Meanwhile, Samsung’s May patch further integrates a host of bug fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that were addressed earlier to offer a more secure user experience, while also protecting the device against external threats.
It also adds stability to the entire system behavior for a smooth, efficient and optimized user experience. Well, this latest update seems to have hidden some enhancements under the hood, hopefully the S25 users will get to know what has been fixed or added in the near future.
