Samsung delivers May 2025 Security Patch for Galaxy S21 series in the US

Finally, Samsung has started the May 2025 security update rollout for the Galaxy S21 series in the United States.
The Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra models have started receiving the latest May 2025 security patch, carrying the build numbers G991USQSFHYE2, G996USQSFHYE2, and G998USQSFHYE2, respectively, in the US, which is currently available for the carrier-locked units on the Verizon network and will reach more widely across the country.
Meanwhile, the latest firmware for the devices is just a minor security patch that, however, doesn’t bring any major features and changes; rather, it significantly focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality.
It brings a host of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that eventually provide a more secure user experience while also protecting the Galaxy devices against external threats or harms.
At the same time, the update further adds stability and reliability to the entire system behavior for efficient functionality and brings certain performance optimizations to offer a smoother, more stable, and more optimized user experience.
Well, the May patch is currently available for the US carrier-locked Galaxy S21 models; Samsung will expand the update for the carrier-unlocked units soon in the coming future. Beyond this, the Galaxy S21 family has already received the One UI 7 stable update in several countries that added a host of new features and enhancements for the phones.
