Samsung is expected to debut the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026, and it appears not to be in the mood to offer a major battery upgrade to the Ultra variant of the series.
Recently, it’s been reported that Samsung may introduce the Edge model as part of the Galaxy S26 series. If this happens, then the lineup will include four models: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, Galaxy S26 Ultra, and Galaxy S26 Edge.
Now, a tipster, Panda Flash, on X, shared a post revealing that Samsung is not planning to offer any notable battery upgrade to the Galaxy S26 Ultra smartphone. According to the tipster, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a battery under 5400mAh and charging speed under 65W.
The current Galaxy S25 Ultra has a 5000mAh battery with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging support. The new report hints at a battery of up to 5,400mAh for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which suggests that the company could offer the same 5,000mAh battery as its predecessor.
However, Samsung hasn’t released any official statement regarding the battery specifications of the Galaxy S26 Ultra yet, so it remains to be seen whether this report will come true. Apart from the battery, the tipster also mentioned the device will support a 120Hz refresh rate and no UDC technology.
Reportedly, Galaxy S26 Ultra could debut all-in-house cameras, and the 3x Telephoto camera could get a big boost to 50MP, but it’s not officially confirmed yet.
