Samsung’s Next Budget Phone: Sticking with 4G for Affordability

Samsung will not ditch 4G connectivity for its next-generation affordable phones, as it plans to bring the Galaxy A07 in a 4G variant as well.
Currently, the Korean tech giant is all set to launch its next-generation foldable phones, including Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, next month at the Galaxy Unpacked event. The Galaxy Z Flip FE and more devices are also rumored to be unveiled at the event. Apart from the flagship devices, Samsung is also working on a few mid-range smartphones to debut soon, including Galaxy F36 and Galaxy M36.
Meanwhile, a new report from one of our reliable colleagues, SamMobile, revealed that Samsung is working on its latest cheapest smartphone, the Galaxy A07. According to the report, the device has been spotted with the dedicated model number SM-A075F/DS in the Wi-Fi Alliance’s certification database.

The listing revealed that the Galaxy A07 runs Android and features Wi-Fi a/nb/g/n/ac and Wi-Fi Direct, and it has also received the Wi-Fi certification a few days ago on June 12. Noticeably, it seems that 5G chips are still not cheap enough to be used in the cheapest Galaxy smartphones, so it could be possible that it will be available in a 4G variant. It is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Helio chipset.
To date, no details regarding the specifications and design of the phone have surfaced online, but following its predecessor’s specs, it could feature an LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate.
The Galaxy A07 smartphone is expected to launch by the end of this year. However, Samsung hasn’t revealed anything official regarding the existence of the Galaxy A07 smartphone yet, so it remains to be seen whether the device will launch this year or next year.
