Samsung turned out 64 million Galaxy Phones during Q1 2025

Samsung successfully maintained its leading position in global smartphone shipments in the first quarter of the year, according to market research firm Canalys.

Samsung prThe second quarter of the year (2025) is about to end, and meanwhile, a new report from TrendForce revealed the metrics of global smartphone production by leading brands during the first quarter. According to the report, the Korean tech firm, Samsung, led the market by producing a massive 64 million Galaxy phones in Q1 2025.

Samsung surpassed any other smartphone maker globally with this higher estimated figure. Reportedly, this time the company has taken a long jump of over 21 percent quarter-over-quarter (QoQ), which the report allocate to Samsung ramping up output amid growing concerns over potential tariffs.

Apple secured the second position with 48 million units, making an exact 40 percent QoQ decline. Following Apple, Xiaomi is in third position with 42 million units, and Oppo produced 27 million units, standing in fourth position. While Vivo and Transsion produced 24 million & 22 million units.

Apart from this, Samsung also claimed a 22% share of the global smartphone market during the first quarter of the year, the highest among all companies by a significant margin. Whereas Apple secured 17 percent market share, other manufacturers are in line, such as Xiaomi with 14%, Oppo with 9%, Vivo with 8%, and Transsion with 7%.
