Samsung preparing One UI 8 for Galaxy S25 Edge

Samsung started a slimmest flagship model story with the S25 Edge last month, which debuted with One UI 7 under the hood as the fourth member of the S25 family. Since the Galaxy S25 Edge doesn’t appear to join the latest One UI 8 beta program, a fresh report claims that One UI 8 is already in the making for the device.
So far, Samsung has released One UI 8 beta and Beta 2 for the Galaxy S25 models, while currently, Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra owners have been testing the newest build.
With the Galaxy S25 Edge being an ineligible model for the latest beta program, a new test build for the model just surfaced, suggesting One UI 8 is under development.
Specifically, a user, Tarun shared a screenshot that suggests that a first-ever One UI 8 test build for the Galaxy S25 Edge units, carrying a build number, S937BXXU1BYF7, has just surfaced online on Samsung’s servers. This eventually provides a slight hint that Samsung has already started working on One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25 Edge audience.

However, there is still a lot of time for Samsung to release a stable One UI 8 version; hopefully, the S25 Edge models could receive the latest version on time. At the same time, Samsung is also preparing to add a new sibling in the Galaxy S25 family after the S25 Edge: its iconic Fan Edition unit, the Galaxy S25 FE, which is rumored to be bound to debut with One UI 8 that will run Android 16 on top.
