The Samsung Galaxy S26 series will launch in early 2026, and the Ultra variant of the lineup, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, is now reported to have a 50MP telephoto camera.
The next-generation Galaxy S26 series is expected to include four models: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, Galaxy S26 Ultra, and Galaxy S26 Edge. However, a few reports also suggest that the company could replace the Plus model with the Edge, but it’s not officially confirmed yet.
Recently, it’s been reported that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a 200MP primary sensor, the same as its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Now, a new report from one of our reliable colleagues, GalaxyClub, revealed that the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a 50MP telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom lens.
Reportedly, it is a ½.52-inch camera sensor with 0.7 µm pixels, PDAF, and OIS. This is the same zoom camera that was used in the Galaxy S24 Ultra and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Following the previous report, it was rumored that Samsung could use a 200MP ISOCELL sensor for the telephoto camera of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The device is also expected to support Virtual Aperture, which will enhance the portrait photography experience.
A few days back, it was also reported that it could debut all in-house cameras. However, currently, there’s no official word or any statement regarding the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera specifications, so it remains to be seen whether the leaked details will come into existence.
