Samsung Exceeds OS Promise with Bonus One UI 7 Update for Two Galaxy Devices

Samsung indeed impressively remains at the top among other Android partners in delivering updates to its Galaxy smartphones. Well, the Galaxy M53 and M33 models have already received their last software update, but surprisingly Samsung awarded an additional update on top.
Basically, for years, Samsung has followed a pattern to offer software updates to its Galaxy phones according to its dedicated software update policy, and as usual, the deadline has already been set for every device according to the update eligibility, and once the deadline is reached, the company immediately stops providing any major OS update or security patches further in the future.
But for the Galaxy M53 and Galaxy M33 models, the case looks different. Surprisingly, Samsung delivered additional updates for both the devices even after the software update policy had already ended.
Actually, Samsung launched the Galaxy M53 in April 2022, while the Galaxy M33 also arrived in the same year, at the same time with Android 12-based One UI 4. According to Samsung’s update policy, One UI 6.0 was scheduled as the last major OS update for the devices, but interestingly, these models just got refreshed with an additional major OS update, the Android 15-based One UI 7, in June 2025.

Samsung Delivers Extra Android Update to Galaxy M33 and M53 After Fulfilling 2 OS Upgrades
Specifically, the latest firmware for the Galaxy M53 and Galaxy M33 significantly integrates the Android 15-based One UI 7 stable update and is identified with the version numbers M536BXXUAFYE3 and M336BXXUCFYE5, respectively.

Well, the latest update apparently brings a host of features and UI changes. It adds the ability to check key notifications via the Now Bar right on the lock screen without unlocking the phone, brings more customizable home screen widgets, and adds more refined Galaxy AI; however, not all the features will be available for the device.
Additionally, the update further adds live updates for quick access to the voice recordings, sports scores, and other ongoing activities, while also integrating the May 2025 security patch for improving the device’s overall security and core functionality.
