Samsung Galaxy Watches Start Receiving Google Gemini Integration

Just in! Samsung Galaxy watches will now be able to access an all-new digital voice assistant, Gemini, instead of Google Assistant.

It looks like Google is paving its way for Gemini, taking over its older Assistant; meanwhile, after Android Auto, Samsung Galaxy watches are also ditching Google Assistant in order to make way for Gemini, Google’s new digital voice. Previously, a report had already suggested that Google had begun replacing Google Assistant with Gemini on smartwatches that are powered by Wear OS.

Now, the company apparently took to its official blog post in order to share the information that, beginning today, Gemini will be the personal digital assistant for Wear OS-powered smartwatches and has already begun rolling out for watches running Wear OS 4 or a higher version, and the latest Wear OS 6-based smartwatches will also receive Gemini support.

Therefore, Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic, which run Wear OS 6 on board, will be the first smartwatches to get the advantage of Google Gemini, followed by Galaxy Watch 4, Watch 5, Watch 6, Watch 7, and Watch Ultra models over the coming weeks.

Beyond this, Google also listed various essential features and capabilities of Gemini that are designed to potentially dissolve into the smartwatch form factor to offer certain features, such as getting quick and helpful responses to your prompts and managing your entire day more efficiently. Gemini will remember every detail so that you can work effortlessly
