Samsung is planning to expand its smart wearable lineup by adding more variety of products, including smart earrings, rings, and necklaces. Let’s take a closer look at the report.
To date, the Korean tech giant has introduced several kinds of smart wearable devices, for instance, a wide range of wearable smartwatches under the Galaxy Watch family and a smart ring called the Galaxy Ring. Recently, it has launched the latest Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) smartwatches.
Now Samsung is looking forward to introducing more wearable smart devices, alongside the Ring and Watch, such as Glasses, Earrings, and Necklaces. It is being speculated by the new report, according to which Won-joon Choi, COO of Samsung’s mobile experience division, said the company is looking at “all kinds of possibilities” when it comes to next-gen wearable devices.
Reportedly, Samsung is now aiming to create products that don’t need to be carried around but can be worn naturally, like jewelry or glasses. Choi stated, “So it could be something that you wear, like glasses, earrings, watches, rings, and sometimes a necklace.”
Presently, under the hood, the Korean tech giant is already working on smartglasses to launch by the end of this year, based on Android XR, and they are part of a larger effort that also includes a new headset, Project Moohan.
The aim behind expanding the variety of smart devices is to build devices that help with everyday tasks through AI, similar to how voice assistants work. Although this smart jewelry will not replace the phone, it will instead work alongside it, similar to how a smartwatch does.
Currently, there’s no official confirmation regarding this report yet, but some how the company’s intentions are clear to make more smart wearables, so it will be interesting to see whether the rumored smart jewelry plan will come into existence.
