Samsung Begins Rollout of July 2025 Security Fixes for Tab S8 Series

Samsung continues the expansion of the July 2025 security update to all of its eligible Galaxy devices; meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S8 series is getting the update in Samsung’s home country.
The Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra models are receiving a new software update that significantly integrates the latest July 2025 security patch in Samsung’s home country South Korea and is expected to reach more eligible countries in the next coming days.
More specifically, the update for the Galaxy Tab S8 series is now available for both the Wi-Fi and 5G variants, where the Wi-Fi-based Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra carry the version numbers X700XXS9DYF4, X800XXS9DYF4, and X900XXS9DYF4, respectively, while the 5G-based models have the version numbers X706NKOS9IYF5, X806NKOS9IYF5, and X906NKOS9IYF5, respectively.
As already detailed, Samsung’s latest July 2025 security update is just a minor patch that is meant to increase and strengthen the system security.
The update, however, doesn’t bring any major features or changes; instead, it focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality. It packs a host of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that were acknowledged in the previous version to provide a more secure user experience and protect the device against sophisticated threats.
It further adds stability and reliability to the entire system behavior for a more efficient functionality and brings certain performance optimizations that eventually offer users a smooth and stable experience.
