Samsung’s newly unveiled foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, have already started getting their first-ever software update, despite being in their pre-order phase.
Indeed, the newbie, Galaxy Z Fold 7, has been introduced with some exceptional features and upgrades. At the same time, surprisingly, the best part is that Samsung is rolling out the first software update to its newest foldables before they hit the retail shelves.
Beginning from Samsung’s hometown, South Korea, the latest software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has been identified with the version number F966NKSS2AYG5. Also, the latest update significantly integrates the new July 2025 security update. However, it’s expected that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 models will receive the update very soon.
However, the July patch doesn’t bring any major features and changes; instead, the update significantly focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality. The update eventually packs a lot of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities in order to provide a more secure user experience, while also keeping the device protected against sophisticated threats.
Apparently, Samsung will be working on expanding the latest update to more eligible countries in the coming future.
Also, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 alongside the Flip 7 models is running in its pre-order stage and will be available for purchase by the end of this month via Samsung’s official website and at all the retail stores near you.
Well, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 models debuted with the latest and stable One UI 8 out of the box, which runs Android 16 on top, making these foldables the first-ever Galaxy Z Series models to come with the standard major OS update in the Galaxy family. Even the Galaxy S25 series units are running Android 16-based One UI 8 in the form of beta.
