Samsung Invests in AI That Can Analyze Massive Video Databases for Galaxy Devices

Samsung has taken a significant step towards the AI revolution in its devices, starting with smartphones and tablets, and it’s also reached smartwatches. And working towards moving forward with this AI flag and lead in this industry. To do that, its investing branch, Samsung Next, is also backing other AI startups like Memories.ai.
According to the report, Memories.ai is working on developing and enhancing the video analysis and summary process. However, you can question what’s different about it, because there are already a bunch of AI LLMs like Gemini that are doing the same thing.
So the main difference is in the capability of processing longer videos. Normally, other AI platforms have certain limits while executing video processing in terms of size or length. But Memories.ai is progressing and leveling up the processing limit to 10 million hours of video.
The LLM is basically targeting the issues of large clients or B2B models that use large video processing for creating or analyzing content. Along with this, for security purposes, the company is also planning to bring the process to a device that prevents users from uploading their important data to the cloud.
If everything goes as planned, then the video analysis feature could also be available for smartphones, and being an investor, Samsung could be the first to bring it to their Galaxy devices.
