One UI 8 Beta 1 for Galaxy S24 Misses Two Key Features from Galaxy S25

Samsung just rolled out the Android 16-based One UI 8 beta update to the Galaxy S24 series, which brings new features. Unfortunately, it misses out on the two most expected features.

As announced, the compnay has now expanded the availability of the One UI 8 beta program to more devices, including the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in the US, UK, Korea, and India.

The latest One UI 8 beta update for the Galaxy S24 models brings dozens of new upgrades, performance enhancements, new camera features, AI upgrades, and more, but despite all of these, it does not bring new highly anticipated features, which are as follows:

  • Now Brief
  • Instant Audio Eraser

A tipster, @thatjoshguy69, on X, shared a post revealing that the One UI 8 Beta 1 for the Galaxy S24 series offers adaptive lock screen clock and wallpaper image suggestion features, but it lacks two of the most expected features: the Now Brief and Instant Audio Eraser.

Samsung exclusively introduced the Now Brief feature with the Galaxy S25 series. However, it also offered this feature to its newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 phones. But it does not offer the feature to the older Galaxy S24 models with the beta update, at least for now.

Potentially, it could be possible that the company will offer the Now Brief and Instant Audio Eraser features in the next One UI beta update to the Galaxy S24 series. It will be interesting to see what will happen next.
