Samsung Dominates Global Gaming Monitor Market for Sixth Consecutive Year

Samsung Electronics proved it again as the top gaming monitor brand worldwide, as it has ranked number one with 21.0% market share.

Samsung, via its newsroom, announced that it has secured the first position in the global gaming monitor market for six consecutive years. According to the metrics shared by the company, it has earned a 21% share of the global gaming market, reaffirming its dominance in a fast-evolving, performance-driven industry.

Not only the gaming market, but the company has also ranked first in the global OLED monitor segment for the second year in a row, reaching a 34.6% market share just two years after launching its first OLED model.

Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, states, “From immersive 3D experiences to groundbreaking OLED performance, we’re shaping the future of gaming.”

The Odyssey gaming monitor lineup plays a crucial role in maintaining the leading position in the market for six consecutive years, as the lineup sets the standard for immersive and high-end performance gaming.

To maintain its leading legacy, Samsung is now focusing on next-generation Quantum Dot OLED technology, which enhances color accuracy, contrast, and brightness across all viewing angles. Recently, it’s been reported that the company secured 53 US quantum dot (QD) patents from Merck Patent to use for QD-electroluminescence (EL), a self-luminous inorganic display technology, which helps the firm compete with Chinese QLED TVs.
