Samsung Introduces Three New Accessibility Features with One UI 8

Despite being a smaller update, Samsung’s One UI 8 has introduced some key features that One UI 7 lacked; meanwhile, the ongoing One UI 8 beta brought three useful features.

To date, Samsung has released six One UI 8 beta updates to the Galaxy S25 series and two beta updates to the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy Z Fold6/ Flip6. Currently, it has expanded the beta program for the Galaxy S23 series and a few Galaxy A series devices, including the Galaxy A55, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A35

With the ongoing One UI 8 beta version, Samsung has introduced several convenient features to upgrade the overall Galaxy ecosystem and enhance users’ experience. A YouTube video revealed a few One UI 8 accessibility features to help with smooth communication even in situations where it’s difficult to hear, as mentioned below:

  • Keyboard translation helps to overcome the drawback of translation difficulty in particular scenes, for instance, inaccurate pronunciation or a noisy environment. It will allow you to accurately input the desired text to be translated by typing. For instance, typing a sentence in German or Spanish will be translated and provided in the required language in both voice and text form.
  • Live Text Call lets you have a phone call in case you were exchanging text messages. This feature displays the text instantly right after the other person speaks. You can check the content and prepare your response without waiting.
  • Call Caption helps to get what the other person is saying. You can easily enable this feature by tapping on the speech bubble key during a call, which starts displaying the text of what the people are talking about on the call. Initially, Samsung introduced this feature for the Galaxy S25 series with One UI 8 beta 6 and then expanded it to the Galaxy S24 with beta two, and it is now available for the Galaxy S23 with the recent beta update.
