Samsung Galaxy Tri-Fold new leak reveals major camera upgrade & key features

Samsung’s Galaxy Tri-Fold phone is close to launch in the coming weeks, and now, ahead of the launch, a tipster reveals a major camera surprise and a few key features of the device.

Samsung has already announced that it will launch its first multi-fold phone, i.e., the Galaxy Tri-Fold, by the end of this year. A few recent reports suggest that the device will be launched in October.

Meanwhile, now a tipster, @TechHighest, on X, shared multiple animated videos of the upcoming Galaxy Tri-Fold, describing several software features. One of the notable animations is of the camera app, and that’s where things get really interesting.

The leaked clip reveals that the device will offer up to 100x zoom. If this comes into existence, then it will be a massive camera upgrade in the foldable lineup, as one of the longest-standing limitations of the Galaxy Z Fold series has been its zoom cameras. Usually, the Galaxy Z Fold phone ships with just a 3x telephoto lens.

Apart from the zooming feature, another animation showcases more features; for instance, the ability to continue apps on the main screen, the Samsung Internet app with Galaxy AI activated, DeX support, and home screen apps from the cover display can be copied over to the main screen.

Noticeably, one animation shows that the device can even be flipped into portrait mode, which is something Samsung hasn’t offered to previous foldable phones. Since these are not official animated videos, it remains to be seen whether these leaked features via animations will come into existence.
