One UI 8 update for Galaxy Tab S9 Series reaches Europe

Samsung is rapidly moving towards delivering the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 update for its Galaxy devices, considering how frustrating One UI 7 was. Now, it looks like the company is expanding the update to even more devices, and it’s time for the Galaxy Tab S9 series.

Spotted via Samsung community, Europe, the Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+, and Tab S9 Ultra have started to receive the One UI 8 update, which has been identified with the version numbers X710XXU5DYJ1, X810XXU5DYJ1, and X910XXU5DYJ1, respectively.

Noticeably, the update was earlier limited to South Korea and is currently available for the Wi-Fi models, at least for now. It’s quite obvious that users need to wait, as the update will take some time to expand to all regions.

More specifically, One UI 8 runs Android 16 on top, where users will experience more modest behavioral improvements, while also integrating several changes that are catered to the tablet form factor, which significantly takes the entire user experience to the next level. At the same time, the update further brings new UI elements with improved widgets and layouts for a seamless experience.

Other than that, the update further comes with the September 2025 security update, which significantly focuses on improving the device’s overall security, functionality, and efficiency to provide a secure and smooth performance.

Well, Samsung is already working on its One UI 8.5 update that is supposed to bring new AI features, which are expected to make their way to the Galaxy Tab S9 series models, once the update is official.
