Samsung Galaxy S24 FE has already received Android 16-based One UI 8 update a few weeks ago; meanwhile, the fan edition model is getting a new software update in the company’s home country.
Basically, Samsung has kept the Galaxy S24 FE in the monthly software update list, and now it has started releasing the ongoing October 2025 security update for the S24 FE models, beginning from South Korea, and is expected to expand to even more countries over the coming weeks.
At the same time, the latest firmware for the Galaxy S24 FE has been identified with the S721NKSS7CYJ3 version number. Therefore, users can now download the latest version on their device through Settings >> Software update >> Download and install.
However, the latest October 2025 Security update doesn’t bring any major features or changes; instead, it significantly aims to improve the device’s overall security, core functionality, and performance in order to provide a secure user experience while also protecting the device against potential threats or attacks.
Other than that, the update further brings several performance optimizations, alongside stability and reliability to the entire system behavior that apparently lead to a smoother, stable, and efficient experience for the users.
Nevertheless, according to the dedicated software update policy, Samsung promised 4 generations of major OS support, while 5 years of security updates for the Galaxy S24 FE already received its last major OS update in the form of One UI 8, the device will continue further receive its eligible security patches in the future.
