Samsung ended software support for a handful of Galaxy devices; check out the list

Samsung has been continuously upgrading its software update strategies, and that’s what makes it unrivalled among other Android partners. Meanwhile, the company just put up details of the latest November 2025 Security update; however, there are a few devices whose software support has ended.

Well, Samsung’s update strategy is incredible, and every phone follows a dedicated software update policy. However, the company has followed a tradition of delivering updates on a monthly, quarterly, and Biannual basis, and the Galaxy phones, tablets, and folding phones get updated according to the category they are kept in.

At the same time, Samsung initially brought three generations of major OS support and four years of security patches, which was then followed by four generations of major OS support and 5 years of security patches, starting from the Galaxy S21 series.

Other than that, the company also upgraded its policy, introducing seven years of software support, beginning from the Galaxy S24 series, and this will be followed by all the newer generation flagships.

Nevertheless, the thing that has started has come to an end one way or the other way. This goes with the Galaxy phones as well, and as a result, Samsung has ended software support for a few Galaxy devices, which means these models will not be receiving any software updates further; check out whether your device is in the following list:
