Galaxy Watch 4 Series Finally Gets One UI 8 Watch Update

Samsung released the One UI 8 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 4 series in the Korean market and is expected to expand to more markets soon.

The Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic received the awaited One UI 8 Watch update with the dedicated firmware versions, as mentioned below:

  • Galaxy Watch 4 (Wi-Fi-only) – R870XXU1JYK4 
  • Galaxy Watch 4 Classic (Wi-Fi-only) – R880XXU1JYK4

Currently, it’s not clear whether the company has also released the update for the cellular variants of these smartwatches. The update holds over 1 GB in download size.

Owners of these Galaxy Watches residing in Korea can easily check for the update and download it by navigating a few easy steps: Galaxy Wearable app on your connected smartphone, and go to Watch settings >> scroll down to Watch software update >> tap on Download and install.

Samsung has rolled out the update in its home country, Korea, but it’s expected to expand the rollout to more regions by the end of this month. With this latest update, Samsung offered several upgrades to enhance users’ experience, such as the Tile System, watchface enhancements, and other notable key features.
