Nobody wants strangers reading their screen on public transport, but keeping your display visible to you while hiding it from side angles has always been tricky. Samsung’s rumored Privacy Display feature aims to solve this, and new leaks suggest it won’t be exclusive to the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Code discovered in a leaked One UI 8.5 build last year hinted at Privacy Display—a feature that restricts screen visibility from side angles while keeping things clear when viewed straight on. Last week, SammyGuru found a Privacy Display page in Samsung’s Tips app by spoofing a device as the Galaxy S26 Ultra, complete with animations showing how it works.
Now, the same outlet confirmed that identical Privacy Display content appears when spoofing a Galaxy S26 Plus. The Tips app shows the same animations and descriptive text, indicating the feature will be available on at least two models in the S26 lineup.

This makes sense. Privacy Display appeals to a broad audience: business users handling sensitive emails, remote workers in coffee shops, or anyone who doesn’t want people reading their texts. Locking it to the Ultra would feel arbitrary, especially when the display technology between Plus and Ultra models likely doesn’t differ dramatically.
Samsung can still reserve other features for the Ultra better cameras, more RAM, S Pen support but Privacy Display doesn’t need to be one of them.
The leak doesn’t mention the standard Galaxy S26, leaving an obvious question: does it get Privacy Display too? It’s possible the base model uses a different panel that can’t support the feature, or Samsung’s using it as a differentiator for higher-tier models.
None of this is official yet. The Galaxy S26 series launches February 25, so confirmation is coming soon. If Privacy Display ships as leaked, it’ll be one of Samsung’s more practical flagship additions—assuming it actually works as advertised.
